RIDE check leads to drugs, weapons charges
Peterborough County OPP officers conducting a Festive RIDE check on Curve Lake Road Thursday night found weapons and drugs and arrested two people.
Police stopped a vehicle at about 11 p.m. An investigation led to cash, cellphones, drugs and prohibited knives.
Sean Peter Martin, 27, of Minden Hills, was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetmine for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of morphine) possession of Percocet, possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000 and two counts of being in a vehicle knowing there was a prohibited or restricted weapon. Shelby Lorraine Elizabeth Montgomery, 27, of Trent Hills, was charged possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methampetamine for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of morphine, possession of Percocet, possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000 and two counts of being in a vehicle knowing there was a prohibited or restricted weapon.
They are to appear in court Jan. 17.
