Lindsay woman accused of threatenin­g to set fire

LINDSAY — City of Kawartha Lakes Police have made an arrest after a woman threatened to set fire to a building following an argument with her roommate. At about 5:30 p.m. Friday, the occupant of a rooming house on William Street North in Lindsay returned home with groceries, police said. As the woman put her groceries away, she got into a brief disagreeme­nt with another woman who also resides in the home, police said.

One of the women threatened to set fire to the building, police said. On Saturday, police arrested a woman and charged her with one count of uttering threats to damage property and one count of failing to comply with the conditions of her probation order. She is to appear in court Feb. 21. Police did not release her name to protect the identity of the other woman.
