Kids can learn basic hammering skills with Habitat
Join Habitat for Humanity this Friday at the Silver Bean Cafe for a birdhouse building and painting workshop. For a $10 donation, children and youth can build and paint a birdhouse or paint a prebuilt house.
The focus of this workshop is to engage young people aged 5 to 15 and provide a hands-on introduction to basic tools and construction concepts. It is a great opportunity to swing a hammer! All donations support Habitat for Humanity and go toward helping families achieve home ownership.
There are four building times throughout the afternoon: 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. Spaces are limited, and registration must be completed in advance. For more information, please visit www.habitatpeterborough.ca. To register, please email Lauren, youth and outreach co-ordinator, at lauren@habitatpkr.ca.
