Buckhorn all about art over the weekend
The other show in town last weekend was held at St. Matthew-St. Aidan Anglican Church by the Buckhorn Artists Group.
This group of painters meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at the church, starting at 9 a.m., painting, socializing and having lunch.
The group exhibits its work at the same time as the Festival of the Arts. All members can exhibit. There were watercolours, acrylics, oils, and pastels done of flowers, animals, pastels and landscapes. The entrance was free and the price of the painting went directly to the artist.
CAO replacement
The Municipality of Trent Lakes is pleased to announce the interim appointment of Donna Teggart to the combined role of chief administrative officer and treasurer.
Donna has been acting in this role since the resignation of Peter Avgoustis, former chief administrative officer.
Council has every confidence that Teggart will use her considerable skill and diplomacy to succeed in this interim role.
