Bethel United Church Turkey Sup­per will be held Oct. 26, 4-7 pm at the church, 90 Bethel Rd., north of High­way 7. The church is wheel­chair ac­ces­si­ble and take out meals are avail­able. Ra­dio Show

The Omemee Lions’ Club is pre­sent­ing a Ra­dio Show, Oct. 19, 5:30 p.m. at Coro­na­tion Hall. Man­vers his­tory

The Man­vers His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety is sell­ing the reprinted book, “Laugh and the World Laughs with You in Pon­ty­pool,” $30 and avail­able at Aunt Laura’s Tea­room in Bethany or at 243 and 137 Lif­ford Rd.

If you en­joy the thrill of fan­tasy and role play and have a sense of ad­ven­ture, the Omemee Li­brary is look­ing for you for a new event. Drop into the li­brary at 24 King St. E. or visit kawartha­lakesli­brary.ca

The li­brary holds Story Time every Satur­day from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Come for the en­tire time or drop in as con­ve­nient.

Euchre

Bid euchre hap­pens every Wed­nes­day, 7 p.m. at St. James Angli­can Church, 945 Frankhill Rd, north of Fowlers Corners.

Se­niors

The Omemee Se­niors meet in the Le­gion Tues­days for var­i­ous ac­tiv­i­ties. The first, se­cond, third and fifth Tues­days are euchre be­gin­ning at 1 p.m. Cost is $2.50.

A potluck is held the fourth Tues­day at 12:30 p.m. Bring your favourite dish as well as a plate and cut­lery to help with cleanup. Cost is $3. An­nual fee is $10.

Com­mu­nity Care

The Com­mu­nity Care of City of Kawartha Lakes of­fers many in­valu­able ser­vices to the res­i­dents of our area. The of­fice num­ber is 705-324-7323.

Meals on Wheels are avail­able at a nom­i­nal cost for res­i­dents of Omemee and Downeyvill­e.

The Adult Day Pro­gram is held Mon­days and Thurs­days, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at Trin­ity United Church.

This pro­gram al­lows care­givers some needed break time as well as al­low­ing the clients to in­ter­act with oth­ers. Call the main of­fice for de­tails.

The Omemee Food bank is held the third Mon­day of each month at Christ Church Angli­can. Non per­ish­able items can be do­nated at lo­cal churches and at Food­land.
