Crow­ley to get key to the city Tues­day

Cody Crow­ley will re­ceive a key to the City of Peter­bor­ough from Mayor Diane Ther­rien on Tues­day. The pre­sen­ta­tion will oc­cur in the city hall at 6 p.m. prior to a coun­cil meet­ing. Crow­ley is set to de­fend his Cana­dian Pro­fes­sional Box­ing Coun­cil su­per­wel­ter­weight ti­tle against Que­bec’s Mein Hus­sain Oct. 19 at the Memo­rial Cen­tre. The Home­com­ing V: Go­ing Global card will be livestream­ed to 160 coun­tries on UFC Fight Pass. Crow­ley’s camp an­nounced Thurs­day he is do­nat­ing tick­ets to the top 500 fundrais­ers for the Terry Fox Run at his alma mater St. Peter Sec­ondary School. Crow­ley will also hold a pub­lic work­out at noon on Satur­day at the Lans­downe Place cen­tre court. A pub­lic weigh-in for the fights will be held Oct. 18 at The Venue with doors open­ing at 6 p.m. and the weigh-ins be­gin­ning at 7 p.m.
