Trent women take first in OUA West lacrosse

The Trent Ex­cal­ibur women’s lacrosse team clinched first place in the OUA West with a 12-1 record fol­low­ing a pair of wins in Toronto on the week­end.

Trent will play in Fri­day’s quar­ter­fi­nal at the OUA Cham­pi­onships Oct. 18-20 at On­tario Tech.

Emily Van­damme was in net as Trent blanked York 18-0, with goals by Macken­zie Robin­son (2), Avery Di­gior­gio (3), Maddy Camp­bell (4), Rachel Smith (3), Katelyn Buck­ton (2), Shaun Kumka (1), Donna Ward (2), Lau­ren Man­dalfino (1).

Trent then beat Queen’s 12-7, with goals by Di­gior­gio (2), Leah Michel (2, 1 as­sist), Robin­son (3), Vic­to­ria Clark (2), Buck­ton (2), Camp­bell (1).
