Vis­it­ing schools swept the Kawartha Pine Ridge El­e­men­tary Ath­letic As­so­ci­a­tion board-wide in­ter­me­di­ate flag rugby cham­pi­onships at the Flem­ing Sports Com­plex on Wed­nes­day.

The James Strath Colts girls’ bid for back-to-back KPREAA ti­tles ended in a loss by three tries in the fi­nal to Clar­ing­ton’s M.J. Hobbs Pub­lic School.

The Adam Scott Li­ons claimed the bronze medal by one try over Cobourg’s Terry Fox Pub­lic School.

Dale Road won the boys in­ter­me­di­ate ti­tle de­feat­ing Cour­tice 11-8 in the fi­nal.

Dale Road un­seated the de­fend­ing cham­pion Adam Scott 7-6 in semi­fi­nals.

The Li­ons re­bounded to win the bronze medal game over Clar­ing­ton.

Paul Hunter of Rugby Canada and Ryan Jones of Rugby On­tario were on hand to ob­serve the games and of­fer point­ers to play­ers.
