Lt. Col. Ray McGill salutes dur­ing the play­ing of “God Save The Queen” at the an­nual Re­mem­brance Day ser­vice on Thurs­day at St. Joseph’s at Flem­ing long-term-care home. The city’s Re­mem­brance Day cer­e­mony is at Con­fed­er­a­tion Square on Mon­day at 10 a.m. The Sal­va­tion Army holds its Salute to the Vet­er­ans evening of mu­sic and re­mem­brance, fea­tur­ing the Tem­ple Band and Song­sters with pi­ano soloist Rachel Ewing, start­ing at 7 p.m. Satur­day at the Sal­va­tion Army Tem­ple at Sim­coe and Aylmer streets. Tick­ets are $10 (free for vet­er­ans and armed forces mem­bers), call 705-743-3131.
