Fleming pays tribute to Mann Cup champs
Fleming College will honour the Peterborough Century 21 Lakers with a public celebration on Thursday after their third consecutive Mann Cup victory.
Fans are invited to join the festivities in the main foyer of the Brealey Campus college at 3:30 p.m.
The celebration will include an Indigenous peoples presentation, an address on the history of the Lakers by Fleming vice-president of academic experience Tom Phillips and greetings from Lakers officials.
The Mann Cup and other Major Series Lacrosse trophies will be on hand along with some Lakers players and staff.
The Lakers are inviting fans and alumni to join the celebration. They became just the fourth team, and first since the 1994-96 Six Nations Chiefs, to win three consecutive Man Cups since it became a playoff series for the national senior A lacrosse championship in 1927.
