Minor Bantam AA Petes win Buffalo Outdoor Classic
Minor Bantam MD Petes also bring home the Canadian Cup from tourney in Montreal
The Peterborough Quarry Golf Club Minor Bantam AA Petes were the champions of the Buffalo River Outdoor Classic held last weekend in Buffalo, N.Y.
The Petes opened the all-outdoor tourney Friday with a 2-1 victory over Genessee Batavia.
In their first game on Saturday the Petes defeated the Ottawa Sting 5-2.
A 5-0 victory over Essex capped off the Petes’ Saturday.
The Petes skated to a convincing 8-1 win over Jersey Shore on Sunday morning sending them to the final.
The final was a rematch with Ottawa and the Petes were victorious once again 5-1 to win the championship.
The Petes outscored the competition by a combined 25-4 thanks to 11 different goal scorers. Adam Chamberlain and Kaleb Gildon-Cormier shared the goaltending responsibilities.
The Petes’ Jacob Colacci was named the tournament’s MVP.
Minor Bantam MD Petes win Canadian Cup
Brady Vickers scored the game winning goal for the Peterborough Miskin Law Minor Bantam MD Petes in a 2-1 win Sunday over the OMHA’s Newmarket Redmen to win the CHE Canadian Cup tourney at Isatis Sport St Constant in Montreal.
