Mi­nor Ban­tam MD Petes also bring home the Cana­dian Cup from tour­ney in Mon­treal

The Peter­bor­ough Quarry Golf Club Mi­nor Ban­tam AA Petes were the cham­pi­ons of the Buf­falo River Out­door Clas­sic held last week­end in Buf­falo, N.Y.

The Petes opened the all-out­door tour­ney Fri­day with a 2-1 vic­tory over Ge­nessee Batavia.

In their first game on Satur­day the Petes de­feated the Ot­tawa Sting 5-2.

A 5-0 vic­tory over Es­sex capped off the Petes’ Satur­day.

The Petes skated to a con­vinc­ing 8-1 win over Jersey Shore on Sun­day morn­ing send­ing them to the fi­nal.

The fi­nal was a re­match with Ot­tawa and the Petes were victorious once again 5-1 to win the cham­pi­onship.

The Petes outscored the com­pe­ti­tion by a com­bined 25-4 thanks to 11 dif­fer­ent goal scor­ers. Adam Cham­ber­lain and Kaleb Gil­don-Cormier shared the goal­tend­ing re­spon­si­bil­i­ties.

The Petes’ Jacob Co­lacci was named the tour­na­ment’s MVP.

Brady Vick­ers scored the game win­ning goal for the Peter­bor­ough Miskin Law Mi­nor Ban­tam MD Petes in a 2-1 win Sun­day over the OMHA’s New­mar­ket Red­men to win the CHE Cana­dian Cup tour­ney at Isatis Sport St Con­stant in Mon­treal.
