Of­fi­cer stops ve­hi­cle with stolen plates

The po­lice of­fi­cer who pulled over a ve­hi­cle with an ex­pired li­cence plate sticker Wed­nes­day near Ru­bidge and Sher­brooke streets soon re­al­ized the plates were stolen. David Franklin Parker, 49, of Dou­glas Av­enue, Peter­bor­ough, was charged with pos­ses­sion of prop­erty ob­tained by crime un­der $5,000, fail­ing to com­ply with pro­ba­tion or­der, driv­ing while un­der sus­pen­sion, us­ing an unau­tho­rized li­cence plate and driv­ing with­out in­sur­ance. He was re­leased and will ap­pear in court Dec. 19.
