The Peterborough Examiner

Ask MP about China, Curve Lake water

-

Why does your newspaper always give MP Maryam Monsef a break when you could be interviewing her for her values when it comes to supporting China via our prime minister’s policies and words?

We have a prime minister who does not condemn genocide in China. We have a PM who recently threatened to pull funding if an award was given to the president of Taiwan. Let’s get a straightforward answer from Monsef on where she stands in as few words as possible.

What about taking six years to just get a $2-million environmental study on a water treatment for Curve Lake First Nation? Five years ago, she appeared in The Examiner saying how committed she was to the community.

There are many things that she should be called out on and Peterborough is no better when she first came on the scene. Drugs, crime, infrastructure, employment have not improved. Have a reporter sit down and get some real answers from someone who has received more than $1.5 million in taxpayers’ funds as wages and expenses and explain her existence.

The Examiner should be a neutral paper, not the socialist paper it appears to be.
