‘Enough is Enough’ people have no respect for others
“Enough is Enough” for sure. Enough is enough of these folks not wearing masks, not social distancing, not listening to the experts that have spent their careers studying infectious diseases, and the medical professionals who are telling us the best ways to beat this pandemic. They may think they are invincible and don’t have to listen to the advice they are given but their attitude and their actions are quite detrimental to those that are susceptible to infections.
Respect is the process of honouring someone by exhibiting care, concern, or consideration for their needs or feelings.
In The Examiner: “Barbershop continues to defy stay-at-home order.” And in the article “We will continue fighting for our rights and the rights of others.” It goes on to say there was a person in the chair and two barbers present, none of whom were wearing masks. I would be guessing there was no contact record either.
Just to the right of that article is a headline: “Wednesday sees most cases in a single day.” Twenty-seven new cases were confirmed in our community, the highest single day total this year. Another article states “Non-urgent procedures paused at PRHC”; this is due to a surge in local COVID-19 cases and the number of critical care patients transferring here from swamped hospitals in the GTA.
Over on Page 2 the health unit is already “At risk of being overwhelmed” as it struggles to reach all people testing positive for COVID-19 or their close contacts and this guy thinks he is fighting for our rights by potentially adding to the problem so someone can get a haircut. Go figure.
These “Enough is Enough” folks show a complete lack of respect for others, and themselves. We just set a record for cases locally, more than any other single day, and they still don’t get it.
Health-care facilities are stretched to the limit, health-care workers are weary and frustrated, more cases, more deaths, and they still don’t get it. What will our world look like if some of these “Enough is Enough” folks don’t see the light soon?
