New cannabis retailer opens in Lakefield
Sparq Retail opens new location; Pizza Factory celebrates 41 years
SunFish Cannabis opened last week at 112 Queen St. in Lakefield — that’s the plaza containing the Market and Subway.
Owner Craig Hamilton submitted the licence application eight days before the pandemic struck last year, so it’s taken some time, but they opened poetically on April 20 at 4:20 p.m.
SunFish sells pre-rolls, flowers, vaporizers, concentrates, edibles, topicals, beverages and merchandise. Check it out at sunfishcannabis.com or on Instagram.

Meanwhile, in Peterborough, Sparq Retail has opened a second location at 861 Lansdowne St., next to Chapters. Owner Robert Brunsch says to watch for a third location in the future. Visit sparqretail.ca.

Darling Insurance has found yet another way to give back to the communities where it does business.
