Cocaine, cash seized after crash
Fifteen grams of cocaine and $9,000 in Canadian currency were seized and a Peterborough man was arrested after a OPP investigation into a collision on Highway 115 early Sunday morning. Officers arrived at about 12:15 a.m. and found an uninjured driver who police said was under the influence of drugs. The cocaine and cash were seized after a search of the vehicle, police said. Brody Chapelle, 26, of Peterborough, was charged with impaired driving, possession of cocaine for trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 24.
