Dietrich Homes is nominated for 2 national building awards
Competition had more than 900 entries from top builders across Canada
Peterborough-based Dietrich Homes is a finalist for two Canadian Home Builders’ Association’s national awards — one for Best Production Kitchen and the other for Best Digital Ad Campaign, the company has announced.
In 2023, Dietrich Homes was named a finalist for Best Home Design, explained Paul Dietrich, owner of Dietrich Homes.
This year’s competition received more than 900 entries from top builders across the country and was judged by nearly 300 member volunteers.
“This is a Canada-wide competition that occurs once per year and we’re very pleased to have been nominated among 900 plus entries from coast to coast,” he said.
“To be nominated in the top five in each of the categories is quite a thrill for sure.”
Dietrich noted that they are the only home builders from Peterborough city and county to be nominated in this year’s competition.
“The other competitors of the categories in this case are very large builders predominantly out of Toronto,” he said.
“So, to be able to compete against very large builders, such as the ones that we are competing against for the awards, is quite a thrill. It really demonstrates the professionalism, and the skill sets that we have here locally.”
Dietrich attributes the business’s success to teamwork with all of its affiliated partners, he stated.
“Our team, including our vendors, sub trades and service providers are all part of these particular submissions,” he said.
“And we’re happy that we’re being recognized for our efforts at the national level.”
Despite being named a finalist in previous years, Dietrich Homes has not yet secured a win, he explained.
“But we’ll see if we can bring, bring back a win this year,” he said.
Dietrich Homes will be attending the finalist award ceremony May 10 at Canadian Home Builders’ Association’s 2024 National Awards for Housing Excellence ceremony.
“We’re looking forward to attending, and we’re looking forward to hopefully bringing back some of the gold,” he said.
