Reaper’s Image Productions is expected back in Port Hope on Friday anjd Saturday to film more scenes for its upcoming project, “Greetings from Fairview.”

There’s been speculation that “Greetings from Fairview” may be part of an upcoming HBO Max series based on writer Stephen King’s “It” franchise. The feature film “It” and its sequel “It Chapter Two” saw filming in Port Hope.

For both films, the town subbed in for the fictional city of Derry, Maine. During filming last month, a temporary Welcome to Derry sign was installed at Port Hope’s west end, along Lakeshore Road.

Last year, Hollywood publications shared “Fairview” as the working title for the new streaming series, now expected to be named “Welcome to Derry.” The “Welcome to Derry” series is expected to air on HBO Max in 2025.

Here is what you need to know about the filming:

Just the facts:

■ The production company has rented the council chambers in town hall on March 21 and 22. During these dates, residents can expect film equipment outside of town hall and a higher volume of activity in and around the building. Services to residents remain uninterrupted.

■ The production company has rented the Elias Street parking lots from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. on March 22, potentially limiting parking availability. Street parking and the town hall parking lot will remain open.

■ Lakeshore Road (between Brand Road and Strachan Street) will be closed on March 22, beginning at 5 p.m. and continuing overnight until 2 a.m. During this time, on-street parking is not permitted in the filming area. To navigate through the affected area, use an alternative route or follow the detour route as indicated by posted signs (Wesleyville Road to County Road 2).

■ In the designated filming zone, residents may notice temporary set dressings, including winter scene effects. Permission has been obtained to temporarily remove certain regulatory road signs along Lakeshore Road during filming activities.

■ Impacted residents in the area have been or will shortly be notified via a resident letter.
