Subway at Circle K reopens in village
Craft show at the legion will feature both indoor and outdoor vendors
Subway at Circle K has officially opened for business. It has new owners and it is great to see it back in the village.
Craft show
There will be a craft show at the Legion, April 20 and 21, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The show will feature indoor and outdoor vendors.
Scott Young Public School
The expansion at Scott Young Public School is making great progress in preparation for the closure of Lady Eaton Elementary in the fall.
All students along with the daycare services will be moving to Scott Young in September.
Blooms Garden Club
Omemee Blooms Garden Club’s monthly meeting will be held Monday at the Legion. Social time, 6:30 p.m. with meeting beginning at 7 p.m.
Richard Dickenson will speak on “The Effects of Climate Change on Native Forests.”
Visitors are welcome to attend one meeting free before purchasing a membership.
Mother’s Day brunch cancelled
Sad news to report, the Omemee Swans’ Mother’s Day brunch has been cancelled for this year. Due to a variety of circumstances, the event will not take place this year.
Legion jam session
The final jam session for this season will be at the Legion, May 4 beginning at 1 p.m. For further information call Jim at 705-799-6912.
Countryside Pharmacy
Countryside Pharmacy is asking customers what items they would like to see in store. If you have any input be sure to let staff know.
Walk for Dog Guides
Plans are underway for this year’s Omemee Walk for Dog Guides, May 26. The event will return for an in-person walk after the COVID-19 interruption. You can sponsor a walker or walk yourself. You can bring your dog or walk solo.
