Public Energy Performing Arts presents its last show of the season, “No One’s Special at the Hot Dog Cart,” on April 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Market Hall Performing Arts Centre, 140 Charlotte St.
This show is created and performed by Charlie Petch, who lived and worked in Peterborough from 1992 to ’96. Drawing on true stories from their past as a 911 operator, hospital bed allocator, emergency room clerk and street worker, and by using spoken word, musical storytelling and sharing the de-escalation techniques they have honed over the years, Petch explores tales of survival and kindness, as a witness to life on the street.
Tickets are on a pay-what-youcan scale from $5 to $50 and are available online at publicenergy.ca or by calling 705-745-1788. This presentation will be fully interpreted in American Sign Language.
