Adam Scott tennis team aces pre-Kawartha tournament

The Adam Scott Lions took the team title at the 2024 pre-Kawartha tennis tournament on Monday at Bonnerwort­h Park.

The Lions won the mixed doubles, boys doubles and boys singles titles, while the Crestwood Mustangs took the girls doubles and St. Peter’s Saints won the girls singles divisions.

The top three move on to the Kawartha championsh­ips in Cobourg on May 15. The fourth place finisher is an alternate in case a team drops out.

The following are the top four finishers in each division:

Mixed doubles

Brynn Millitz, Egan Norton ASCVI; 2. Ava Johnston, Ben Moher ASCVI; 3. Ezra Daley, Meline Do Le HCCSS; 4. Ethan Copeland, Madeleine Hill SPCSS.

Women’s doubles

Zara Shiell, Payton Cooper CSS; 2. Kate McIntyre, Susie Workman CSS; 3. Adelaide Forbes, Noelle Patton KCVI; 4. Poppy Thompson, Sam Merriam ASCVI.

Men’s doubles

Colin Sordi, Darcy Cheung ASCVI; 2. Jeff Ma, Evan Jones KCVI; 3. Nick Toupin, Adam Revak SPCSS; 4. Owen Hart, Dylan Earthy ASCVI.

Men’s singles

Liam Masters ASCVI; 2. Will McFadden CSS; 3. Noah Nowak SPCSS; 4. Nick Kamilla CSS.

Women’s singles

Macy Harper SPCSS; 2. Macy Milsom ASCVI; 3. Leah Gibbs TASSS; 4. Malena Kekki CSS.
