Bralorne playing pub tonight, Saturday

It’s a two-night stand for local rock band Bralorne. The four-piece group will be the centre of attention at Nelly’s Pub tonight and Saturday. This Hart Highway nightspot is under new management and Bralorne is helping showcase the transition. There is no cover charge to enjoy this blend of classic rock, uptempo country and strategica­lly placed original tunes. The band is busy these days. They are also the featured musical foursome for the Kelly Cup Bonspiel being held at the Prince George Golf & Curling Club on the following weekend. They are performing at the club’s in-house social room Fore Bistro on March 31 and April 1. The group is also set for an April 29 concert at the Cowboy Ranch pub in Prince George. Bralorne is comprised of Mike Smith and Mike Vigano on guitars, drummer Brad Martin and bassist Tom Habchi. All four contribute vocals. Wednesday of killing a former Prince George man. Travis Leslie Stephens, now 32, had faced a count of second-degree murder in the Sept. 14, 2013 death of Eric Maurice Cardinal, 27, who was found shot to death in a home in the community west of Prince George. Stephens was found guilty of attempted murder and aggravated assault involving a woman who was also found at the scene with a gunshot wound. The outcome follows a trial in B.C. Supreme Court in Terrace that began March 14. Sentencing will be carried out at a later date. RCMP have said the incident was drugrelate­d. including lab supplies, textbooks and art supplies. The district will also begin back-to-school planning together with teachers and parents to discuss uses of the one-time funding to lower costs for parents and help support B.C.’s new curriculum. per person at the door.
