More Miracles
Ted Price, centre, and Anne Laughlin, right, along with Roberta Squires, CEO of the United Way, announced a third Miracle Theatre production on Thursday. This year’s play will be The Fabulous Lipitones, by Mark St. Germain and John Markus. All proceeds – through ticket sales, sponsorships, donations, concession and an on-site raffle – will be donated to the United Way. The production will run March 2-18, every night except Mondays, as well as Sunday matinees at Artspace above Books and Company. This fundraiser was inspired by the success of Miracle Theatre’s last two productions: Miracle On South Division Street, which raised $42,294.35 for children’s programs at the Salvation Army Food Bank and 27 Million Voices, and The Last Romance, which raised $52,144.12 toward the local fight against cancer by helping equip Prince George’s new Breast Imagining Centre. This time, Price and Laughlin hope to raise in excess of $60,000. This play will mark the 73rd professional play Price and Laughlin have produced, directed or designed for Prince George since 1994.
