Take­down made at Ketso Yoh

A 27-year-old man was ar­rested Thurs­day morn­ing for al­legedly at­tack­ing an RCMP of­fi­cer.

At about 9:30 a.m., sev­eral RCMP mem­bers quickly re­sponded to a call for as­sis­tance from an of­fi­cer con­cerned for his safety while at the Ketso Yoh men’s shel­ter at the cor­ner of Que­bec Street and First Av­enue.

No in­juries were re­ported and the man who was ar­rested faces counts of as­sault­ing a peace of­fi­cer, re­sist­ing ar­rest and mis­chief, RCMP said.

The man was re­leased on a prom­ise to ap­pear for court on Oct. 3. His name was not re­leased and the charges are pend­ing ap­proval by Crown coun­sel.
