B.C. 55+ Games call for ath­letes

The dead­line is fast ap­proach­ing for any­one in­ter­ested in par­tic­i­pat­ing in the 2019 55+ B.C. Games to be held in Kelowna from Sept. 10 to 14. Dead­line to regis­ter is June 30.

Dur­ing the games, thou­sands of ath­letes and sup­port­ers will gather to help cel­e­brate the spirit of ath­letic ex­cel­lence and fun with friends from across the prov­ince.

Cur­rently, there are 33 sports to choose from, in­clud­ing track and field, hockey, lawn bowl­ing, horse­shoes, moun­tain bik­ing, whist, bocce and crib­bage. The di­verse group of sports to choose from is a re­flec­tion of the many in­ter­ests of those who are 55 years and older.

Ev­ery­one 55 years and older is welcome to join the en­thu­si­as­tic group of like-minded peo­ple.

Prince Ge­orge is in the North Cen­tral Zone 9, which en­com­passes 70 Mile House, 100 Mile House, Bark­erville, Bridge Lake, Canim Lake, For­est Grove, Green Lake, Horse­fly, In­ter­lake, Lac la Hache, Likely, Macken­zie, McBride, McLease Lake, Ques­nel, Wells and Williams Lake.
