Bucket List Gala for Hos­pice on Satur­day

The great Cana­dian bucket list is the theme for the Prince Ge­orge Hos­pice So­ci­ety’s an­nual gala that takes place Satur­day at the Civic Cen­tre. Robin Es­rock, tele­vi­sion host for a Na­tional Ge­o­graphic show called World Trav­els and best-sell­ing au­thor of The Great Cana­dian Bucket List: One of a Kind Travel Ex­pe­ri­ences will be the key­note speaker once again. The gala was cre­ated to em­pha­size that peo­ple should live with pur­pose by cre­at­ing their own bucket list. “At hos­pice, we reg­u­larly see and hear the con­ver­sa­tions of ‘I wish I would have,’‘I should have taken the time to,’‘I re­ally wanted to but now it’s too late,’” Donna Flood, ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor, for the Prince Ge­orge Hos­pice So­ci­ety, said. “We want to take our ex­pe­ri­ences and help oth­ers in the com­mu­nity live their lives to the fullest by cre­at­ing a bucket list and ac­com­plish­ing the items on it.”

As a grand prize for a draw at the gala, the lo­cal hos­pice so­ci­ety will of­fer the win­ner $5,000 in cash to­wards their bucket list wish or ful­fill the wish. Tick­ets are $90 each plus ser­vice charges and are avail­able at www.eventbrite.com.
