There’s more for the rider than ever before at the 2012 Vancouver Motorcycle Show.
This year, the Show features top Enduro-x riders, spectacular stunters, guest speakers who have travelled to the depths of Africa and South America with just their bikes as well as the top new models and innovations for 2012.
As one of the first motorcycle trade shows in Canada in 2012, the Vancouver Motorcycle Show is a choice showcase for manufacturers to unveil their newest models and latest performance updates. The show features the world’s leading distributors and manufacturers including Yamaha, BMW, Kawasaki, Ducati, Honda, KTM, Suzuki, Harley-davidson, Zero and Polaris.
Thursday is Vintage Night, featuring beautifully restored race bikes from the 1930s to the 1970s and riders all competing for bragging rights as this year’s Café Racers Cup Champion. Friday and Saturday night are Rock, Roll & Race Nights with two performances by Juno awardwinning Clayton Bellamy with Keith Diamond and the Rockets. Jaw-dropping stunt shows by the Westcoast Freestyle Stunt Team happen Thursday through Sunday. Don’t miss the KTM Factory Team demo some Enduro-x moves that make them some of the most exciting athletes to watch in the world.
Custom Alley features some of Canada’s most impressive custom and production bikes. Plus, demo the latest Yamaha scooters and try out the Trev Deeley “Jumpstart” bike, an actual HarleyDavidson® bolted down to a fixed position that lets you start the bike, change gears and experience the signature rumble of the Harley-davidson® first-hand.
Kids won’t be bored at this show. They can check out the Yamaha Riding Academy, get outfitted in the latest motocross gear and ride for free. And don’t forget the mini road race riding demonstration, featuring nine-year-old sensation Jake Hayes.
The show features a number of exciting speakers on a plethora of topics, from travelling by motorcycle to learning to ride for the first time.
Whether he’s hanging out with Mick Jagger, or inventing the newest camera technique for capturing motorcycle action shots, Peter Starr is renowned for some of the greatest early motorcycle racing movies. Peter also moonlighted as a DJ on Vancouver radio stations.
Returning speakers like Rene Cormier and John Gilbank take part in ‘The Places You Will Go’ seminars and will have audiences on the edge of their seats.
