Florence + The Machine at Deer Lake July 20
Burnaby’s Deer Lake Park will be the spot where Florence + The Machine kicks off the second leg of a North American tour on July 20. After finding mainstream success with their debut album Lungs, the band has been busy with appearances on Saturday Night Live, GMA, X-factor, The View, VH1 Divas and Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve. The group’s released its

Polyphonic Spree at Venue April 7
Having been a launch pad for such artists as St. Vincent, there is no questioning the enduring legacy of the 21-member spiritual pop freakout known as the Polyphonic Spree.
After some downtime, lead Spree Tim Delaughter has re-formed the group for a new tour that comes to Vancouver on April 7 at the Venue. New Fumes, featuring former Polyphonic’er and Flaming Lips collaborator Daniel Huffman opens.
