The other day, 2011 world champion freestyle skier Warren Shouldice tweeted about his Vancouver 2010 Olympic experience.
“Two years ago today, I nearly killed my dad,”he wrote.“he had a heart attack at the Olympics! I obviously handled the stress better than he did.”
So Province Sports’terry Bell made some calls. He talked to Warren Shouldice. And he talked to his dad, Rick. And it seems things aren’t quite as they appeared.
Bell muses about the tweet — and the conversations he had with father and son — at provincesports.com/blogs.

There’s something about the Global Cycle Race we find fascinating. Well, Rudy Pospisil has lots of intriguing information about the first week of the race. Like, for instance: England’s Mike Hall has already biked more than 2,000 kilometres!
The race, so you know, is close to 30,000 kilometres — about 10 times longer than the Tour de France. Nine guys are in the race — how many will finish?
