Lopez slapped with lawsuit from former driver

-

Jennifer Lopez will be shuttling from Montreal to Miami this summer.

The pop star announced Monday a 16-date joint tour with Enrique Iglesias, with the run launching July 14 in Montreal.

Her transportation arrangements will no doubt involve some combo of private jets and/or freebie Fiats — though Lopez’s usual driver probably won’t be part of her plans. The pop star is being sued for unspecified damages by her former chauffeur, Hakob Manoukian, TMZ reports.

According to the breach-of-contract lawsuit obtained by E! News, Manoukian claims he was put out of his job after Lopez convinced him to leave his limo business and work for her full time.

Lopez’s reps have not commented on the situation, but according to Manoukian’s lawsuit, he started working for Lopez in 2005 as a part-time driver.

The court docs say he accepted a fulltime position from Lopez in April 2011, which would have earned him an estimated $200,000 that year — a figure based on his $72,000 annual salary, plus whatever “production pay” he would earn through overtime hours and attending to Lopez on assorted professional outings.

Manoukian’s lawsuit says he wasn’t paid for any of these extras and he also alleges he was verbally abused by Lopez’s manager, Benny Medina, while on the job. (Medina is also named in the lawsuit, E! News notes.)

Manoukian claims he was demoted from his position as head of Lopez’s personal security and transportation after telling on Medina, E! reports.
