-

Mission’s Carly Rae Jepsen is part of a star-studded lineup for the Summer Playland Festival this July

Billed as the “first true teen music festival in North America” there is no denying that the Summer Playland Festival bookers did their research with the lineup for the three-day event that runs from July 6-8.

Among the acts slated to whip teen fans into a frenzy at the PNE Amphitheatre are Mission chart topper Carly Rae Jepsen, whose Call Me Maybe has hit No. 1 in the U.K.

Joe Jonas, Onerepublic, Dragonette, Cobra Starship, Gym Class Heroes, Marianas Trench, Victoria Duffield and others are also set to appear. In total, 21 acts are performing from noon to 8 p.m. and as a bonus, concert tickets get you onto the rides at Playland, too.

Tickets for the festival go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. at ticketleader.ca or 604-757-0345. Tickets also available from the Coliseum Box office. Single-day tickets are priced $59-$129, three-day passes are $159-$329.
