Heat, Marlies tied 1-1

Abbotsford dropped Game 2 of their Western Conference Semifinals series 5-1 to the Toronto Marlies on Thursday and will head home with the best-of-seven tied at a game apiece. The loss was the first for the Heat in 12 games and also ended goalie Danny Taylor’s personal win streak at nine. Abbotsford’s lone goal came off the stick of Jon Rheault who notched his third of the post-season. The Western Conference Semifinals will now shift to Abbotsford for Game 3, 4 and 5. Game 3’s puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday.
