Local acting scene full of talent
For many people, their exposure to theatre begins and ends with elementary school productions and a high school literature class on Shakespeare. That’s a pity when you consider the wealth of up-and-coming talent in the Lower Mainland’s theatre community. So if you’re looking to venture into theatre, catch some of these productions happening around town this November. Mistaken identity, innuendo
Metro Theatre’s Lend Me A Tenor opens this Saturday. If you’re a fan of mistaken identity and innuendo, pick up a ticket to the comedy that’s been staged both on Broadway and in London’s West End. The play follows renowned tenor Tito Merelli, who’s about to perform for a fundraiser. Before he does, however, his wife threatens to leave him after mistaking one of Merelli’s enthusiastic fans for his lover. Uh, oh. It runs until December and tickets are $20 to $23.
