The cast includes Dakota Johnson in the role of Anastasia Steele and Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey in the movie adaptation of the E.L. James erotic bestseller of the same name.
Drake’s Vancouver concert rescheduled
Drake fans will have to wait a bit longer to see the artist in action as the concert has been rescheduled to Nov. 28. A recent change around the launch date for his new album, Nothing Was The Same, is why Drake has rescheduled the Vancouver date on his upcoming North American tour, Would You Like A Tour? Drake was originally scheduled for Sept. 27. All tickets for the initially scheduled show will be honoured for the new date.
Fringe Fest kicks off
The Vancouver Fringe is a celebration of theatre for everyone, featuring more than 800 performances by 98 artists over 11 days from Sept. 5 to 15. The Fringe employs an “everyone welcome” selection technique — the Mainstage shows are literally drawn out of a hat, giving all artists a chance to participate. The Vancouver Fringe also features unique site-specific theatre where artists stage their work in the nooks and crannies of Granville Island, as part of the Fringe Onsite Program.
