Wasteful thinking

With reference to your editorial, I agree. There is no consideration in most cases for the public; it is police paranoia at its best.

See a suspicious package, person, etc.? Call Hazmat, the ERT, the army, navy, Canadian border patrol, etc., etc. Police are not paying for the extra cost — overtime, lost time to the public, all the wasted fuel, etc.

Police should be thankful there are people breaking the law, otherwise they wouldn’t be employed.
