TB JON CORNISH There was a time when a Cornish vs. Harris matchup was the talk of the town but lately only the New Westminster product is holding up his end. Cornish’s production isn’t as much of a talking point but perhaps that’s only a testament to his consistency. He’s only 42 yards from smashing his 1,457-yard rushing total of last season that made him the first Canadian since Normie Kwong to win a league title, and starts play with a 112-yard lead over Saskatchewan’s Kory Sheets in this rushing race this year. Most impressive among Cornish’s numbers is a 7.1 yards per carry average.
