Four Surrey schools make anti-bullying statement
More than 600 students from four Surrey schools held an anti-bullying flash mob to celebrate Pink Day at Princess Margaret Secondary School on Wednesday. The cross-cultural event featured Michael Jackson’s They Don’t Care About Us and the Bollywood song Dhoon Machaleas performed by students from Princess Margaret, as well as three elementary schools — Strawberry Hill, Dr. F.D. Sinclair and Westerman. The flash mob was choreographed by Shiamak Davar, founder of the Shiamak Bollywood Dance School, who choreographed last April’s Times of India Film Awards extravaganza at B.C. Place Stadium. For a photo gallery go to theprovince.com. Also see Page A18.
