Harper’s Trail 2012 Pinot Gris, B.C. ($18, available at select Private and VQA wine stores)

-

Wine from Kamloops! Indeed, B.C.’s winegrowing areas continue to proliferate, and in establishing their 24-acre vineyard along the South Thompson River, Harper’s Trail became the first estate winery in the Thompson Valley. Their Pinot Gris is unabashedly fruit driven and imminently sippable. Soft and luscious, it encourages conversation and dining companionship, preferably in the form of fresh seafood or takeout Chinese food.

Bottom line: B “Gregarious Gris.”
