Man runs off with engagement rings

-

On Jan. 25, 2014, an unknown male entered the Tiffany & Co. located at 737 Dunsmuir St. in Vancouver and requested to look at the biggest diamond ring in the store.

Staff showed the male a ring and matching wedding band.

The male said he would have to think about the purchase and left the store.

On Jan. 26, 2014, the male returned to the store and requested to see the same ring and a cheaper option.

As the sales staff was showing the male the two engagement rings he grabbed them and ran out of the store knocking one of the sales associates to the ground.

The rings are described as solitaire diamond rings in a Tiffany setting valued at $67,000 and $78,500.

The suspect is described as a 30-year-old Caucasian male with an olive skin tone.

He is further described as being about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9 with short brown hair and, at the time of incident, he was wearing a Canucks baseball cap, black zip-up jacket and blue denim jeans.
