Diner en Blanc, August 20

Party organizers (from left) Tyson Villeneuve, Chad Clarke, David Hawksworth and Jordan Kallman once again will push the envelope for their fourth Diner en Blanc pop-up party. More than 30,000 folks were on the wait list in 2014 wanting to celebrate with 3,500 revellers who convened at David Lam Park (the location was revealed at the last minute) to enjoy a picnic dinner and dancing. Efforts are already underway to grow the gastronomic flash mob. A returning guest gets first-dibs at tickets and can refer a friend, who is then given a chance to buy a ticket. Remaining tickets, if any, are then sold in a lottery.
