Courage to Come Back, May 7

Led by Lorne and Melita Segal, this gala-do at the Convention Centre is always a life-affirming heartwarmer. The annual awards dinner — recognized as the city’s Best Special Event by the Vancouver Board of Trade — pays tribute to B.C. residents who have demonstrated extraordinary courage in their recovery from illness or adversity. Since its inception, nearly $10 million has been raised for Coast Mental Health’s effort to promote recovery of persons with mental illness.
