Taylor out for weeks with broken right wrist
SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. — Seattle Mariners infielder Chris Taylor is expected to miss four to six weeks because of a broken right wrist.
Taylor was hurt Friday on what was ruled a foul ball. He told the team the pitch hit him. Taylor stayed in the game and singled on the next pitch against Milwaukee, but was pulled for a pinch-runner.
Taylor had been competing with Brad Miller for the starting shortstop job. He was hitting .421 this spring after batting .287 last season.
