There’s a chance Zack Kassian may not be getting suspended.

The Canucks big forward was so itching to go with Dion Phaneuf late in the second period, he shoved a linesman out of the way and to the ice.

The linesman ended up on his back in the middle of it all, exposed as Kassian was doing everything he could to get a piece of Phaneuf.

When the dust settled, Kassian received a game misconduct. It’s believed it was for running through the official, which could lead to supplemental discipline.

Some suggested it was because his jersey wasn’t tied down and not because he manhandled an official.
