aircraft crews to test wearable gadgets

Virgin Atlantic has announced it will soon be outfitting its engineering and maintenance staff with wearable technology in an eightweek trial it hopes will reduce turnaround times and cut paper waste.

The technology will allow realtime communication between engineers on the aircraft and those in support areas.
