Tax all of B.C. for transit
We have a provincial government that is cancelling a promised expansion of transit hours in Kamloops, while shrugging its shoulders as the Lower Mainland grapples with the ridiculous TransLink sales-tax plebiscite. Do they take us for complete fools? Transportation Minister Todd Stone needs to be fair — collect the extra 0.5-per-cent tax from the whole province and spend it on transit wherever it is needed.
Of course this so-called “Liberal” — really Social Credit revival — government doesn’t want to be perceived as raising taxes.
