Gov’t has to be accountable for lives it destroyed

-

In 2012, eight health researchers were fired by our inept Liberal government and today we find out that the last one of those fired has reached a settlement with the Liberal government, which in reality it has settled with the taxpayers of B.C.

We the taxpayers are on the hook for these costs because of the idiotic mishandling of these wrongful firings by the Clark government. It appears documentation of these firings have not been available to determine who ordered them or why. This government once again has shown contempt to the people of B.C.

It promised an open and transparent government, but as we have seen, this is not the case. The person or persons who ordered these firings should have lost their job, ministry, in lieu of this unjust fiasco that resulted in the death of one of the researchers.

I am glad these people have received settlements, but am disgusted in how it was handled from the start by the clowns in Victoria.

I would hope more people will express their concerns with this government. Whether you are a Liberal backer or not, issues like this cannot be allowed to happen now or in the future.

Our photo-op premier is not about to do anything about this situation or any others unless it concerns a so-called good-news item.
