Ferrari reveals 680-h.p. GTC4Lusso
Grand tourer sticks with normally aspirated 6.3-litre V-12
Ferrari is updating its grand tourer with more horsepower and refreshed styling — just don’t call it the FF. It’s now the GTC4Lusso.
The new name might be a mouthful, but it draws from the Ferrari 330 GTC and the 250 GT Lusso, while the ‘4’ represents the number of seats, not the fact that it’s all-wheel drive.
Unlike the 488 GTB and the California T, the GTC4Lusso stays far away from forced induction.
It’s powered by a normally aspirated 6.3-litre V-12 engine, rated at 680 horsepower and 514 pound-feet of torque. That’s a healthy bump compared to the FF, which punched in at 651 h.p. and 504 lb.-ft. of torque. Top speed is 334 km/h.
Like the FF, the GTC4Lusso sends its kick to all four wheels, but it now features a new four-wheel steering system, along with Ferrari’s latest iteration of its Slip Slide Control system. In the dry, the GTC4Lusso rockets from a standstill to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds.
