Attacks linked?

The attempted sexual assault of a 21-year-old woman late Friday near 48th Avenue and Oak Street has Vancouver police checking for any connection between two other recent attacks in the same area.

The woman in Friday’s attack managed to escape after a man grabbed her from behind, but she could only describe him as being of average height and average build, police Sgt. Randy Fincham said Monday. Fincham said two other woman were attacked recently in the same area. On Feb. 26, a 53-year-old woman was the victim of an assault and Feb. 13, a 17-year-old woman was targeted.
