Lauper goes country

NASHVILLE — Pop queen Cyndi Lauper a new country album.

The 1980s hitmaker has teamed up with Nashville greats including Emmylou Harris, Vince Gill and Willie Nelson to record new tracks for Detour, an album she feels she has been destined to make for years.
