WITH CAMBRIA PARK, MOSAIC BOOSTS ITS PRESENCE ON THE CAMBIE CORRIDOR

Alittle history in a community can be a very good thing.

This is particular­ly true for MOSAIC Homes’ Cambria Park, the company’s fourth developmen­t in the Cambie corridor neighbourh­ood.

Geoff Duyker, MOSAIC’s senior vice-president of marketing, says that longtime presence in the area gives the developer an edge when it comes to knowing what buyers want and need in their homes. The developers take heed and reflect those needs, particular­ly materials, finishes and features in the Cambria Park display home.

“We have learned about our buyers and their preference­s in each project, and incorporat­e these preference­s into the next community,” Duyker says.

Indeed, many of the features in the project’s display home, including its layout and materials, were introduced after the developer’s representa­tives consulted owners.

“We go so far as to spend time with them in their homes after they’ve moved in to see how they use the home.”

To a large extent, what MOSAIC condo owners want is to feel as if they’re living in a larger single-family home.

During sales of nearby communitie­s such as Cambria and James Walk, MOSAIC noted its homes appeal to the downsizing crowd, so included two- and three-bedroom suites at Cambria Park.

The kitchens at Cambria Park are fashioned to attract those who favour classic design with a touch of modernity.

“We wanted to channel the warmth, comfort, and nostalgia of classic kitchens but combined with modern details,” Duyker adds.

“We thought about every detail — reveals, pulls, no pulls, proportion­s of drawers — to find the perfect balance. The kitchen island itself is designed and detailed to feel like a piece of furniture. It celebrates the evolution of the kitchen as the heart of the home.”

And it’s in the heart of that display suite visitors notice some of its most attractive features, like the matte black finishes of the kitchen faucet, hardware and mirror detailing, Duyker says.

“Matte black faucets are one of the biggest trends we identified in kitchen and bath fixtures. (That finish) is modern, elegant and sophistica­ted.”

Cambria Park’s display home also includes a particular­ly unique feature: a wall covered in millwork, courtesy of Insight Design Group. This standout piece includes open and closed cabinetry of varying sizes and is a suitable option for those downsizers who want to display keepsakes, Duyker says.

Many buyers who have sold their single-family homes for a MOSAIC condo do so to save on time and money on maintenanc­e, but still prefer space to move around, and showcase their belongings.

“They have a lifetime of books, photograph­s and memorabili­a, and this piece allows the homeowner to showcase their favourites.”
